Course Description
Our Sexual Harassment in the Workplace for Leadership and Senior Managers course equips leaders with the knowledge and skills to prevent and respond to workplace sexual harassment, in line with the Worker Protection (Amendment of Equality Act 2010) Act. This session focuses on the responsibilities of senior managers in fostering a workplace culture that is safe, inclusive, and free from harassment, including third-party harassment.
Leaders play a critical role in shaping organisational responses to sexual harassment. This session will explore the legal obligations, ethical considerations, and strategic approaches to prevention and response. Participants will examine how workplace structures, policies, and leadership decisions can either challenge or perpetuate harmful cultures.
Course Content
Through case studies, reflective discussions, and practical exercises, attendees will gain the confidence to lead on prevention strategies, respond effectively to reports and disclosures, and implement robust policies that align with best practices and legal requirements.

- Define harassment under the Workers Protection Act, including workplace and third-party harassment.
- Understand legal responsibilities for both employees and employers regarding harassment prevention and creating safer, more equitable workplaces.
- Recognise signs of harassment and be able to identify instances of harassment, victimisation, and inappropriate behaviour, including those from clients, customers, or external parties.
- Know for to respond to and manage instances of sexual harassment and best practice around responding, safeguarding, reporting, supporting, and documenting.
- Know what you and your organisation needs to do to try to prevent sexual harassment, harassment related to sex and victimisation in the workplace.
